The chapel decorated with stucco with rich polychrome, gilding and wall paintings is located in the western bay of the castle. Its creation and decoration is related to the renovation of the chateau grounds between 1727 and 1734. The commissioner of the reconstruction was Anna Maria Františka Tuscany, the architect was probably Václav Špaček. In the upper part of the chapel there are preserved stuccoes made by Bartolomeo Muttoni with original polychromy and paintings on the motifs of the Three Kings. The painting was done by a collective of artists around Jindřich Kraus. The lower part of the chapel had been converted into an apartment, the ceiling was overhung and much of the decoration was destroyed. In 2011, the walled upper part of the chapel was rediscovered.
A restoration survey of the stucco and painted decoration of the upper part of the chapel was carried out in the autumn of 2021. It was preserved in its original state, completely without secondary restoration interventions. The aim of the survey was to examine the original technique of the Baroque stucco, polychromy and paintings, to assess their condition and to propose a concept and procedure for the restoration work itself. The survey also included an art historical search of available sources and chemical analyses.
