The project focuses on surveying iconography of the painted scenes on the vault of St. Joseph?s Chapel in the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary in Klokoty near Tábor as well as on identification of the painter?s subject matter, which will mean a responsible approach to the restoration of the paintings and to the completion of missing parts. Besides the practical application of the project results the research will also bring relevant information on the general topic of St. Joseph?s iconography, identification of the author of the paintings and the personality of the commissioner of the chapel decoration, which is a significant phenomenon in the context of the Pilgrim Church of Klokoty.
