The project which is going to devote itself to completion of an electronic list of restoration reports of the Dílo (= the Artwork) company which was subordinate to the Český fond výtvarného umění (Czech fund of fine art) and administered most of restoration commissions in the socialistic Czechoslovakia. We are going to use the archives of ČFVU Dílo (the National Archive, Prague). There are historic restoration reports of various restoration branches stored. The complete list will include a register of several thousands of restoration reports, in which we will be able to carry out basic electronic research (the search criteria: restorer?s name, locality, name of the artwork, date of the intervention). The practical part will continue in a theoretical one that will comprise following archival sources as well as dialogues with restorers who were present and working for the Dílo company at that time. As a result an expert article shall be published that would clarify the basics of the system for commissioning restoration projects, their process and funding in the years 1954-1989 (1994 actually).
