Provider: Univerzita Pardubice
Programme: Studentská grantová soutěž
Implementation period: 01.01.17 - 31.12.17
Workplace:
Fakulta restaurování - Ateliér restaur. nástěn.malby a sgrafita
Investigator: Vojtěchovský Jan
Description:
Examination with the aid of UV light is one of rather common methods used in restoration of paintings; nonetheless, the attention has been aimed chiefly on detection and differentiation of various kinds of binders or pigments. Quite surprisingly, there has not been a survey carried out in the field of other inorganic materials, which occur commonly in this branch. Some of such materials are water soluble salts which cause frequent damage in historic monuments.
