Historic plaster casts are often reinforced with steel armatures, which might, under certain circumstances, contribute to the damage to the artwork. The aim of the paper is to assess risks arising from metal armatures used in relation to the storage conditions. Another goal is to identify the options for conservation of such objects which have already been damaged and where a part of the armature has been uncovered. Based on the research of professional literature as well as on restoration experience an experiment will be carried out, in which various treatments are going to be compared in connection with the subsequent storage of the objects (climatic conditions). As the outcome, an article will be published in a professional periodical.
