The project focuses on a detailed morphological survey of selected blind-tooled motifs on book bindings from the Piarist library in Litomyšl. A selected sample of blind-tooled decorative elements will be documented with the use of 3D scanning with high resolution. The data gained will be subsequently compared and evaluated in 3D softwares. The aim of the work is to reach an objective differentiation between blind tooling stamps, which is not possible to achieve by means of standard methods.
