Description:
The aim of the project is to collect data on inhibitors currently available on the market as well as to assess their applicability to historic objects. Based on the results gained from the research of professional literature, inhibitors which are supposed to be applicable on the objects of artisan craft will be selected. Subsequently, the selected substances will be tested as sample sets and evaluated. Simultaneously, within the project, the selected method will be applied to a concrete object which would meet all the requirements. It will be exposed to exterior conditions and undergo a long-term inspection with the use of modern monitoring methods. The goal is to asses not only how effective and long-term the tested substances are, but also their impact on the aesthetic and art historic aspects. The tests will be carried out both in a laboratory and in situ.
