Post-war art in architecture ? registration and modern materials

Provider: Ministerstvo kultury
Programme: Program aplikovaného výzkumu a vývoje národní a kulturní identity - NAKI III
Implementation period: 01.03.23 - 31.12.27
Workplace: Fakulta restaurování - Katedra humanitních věd FR
Investigator: Říhová Vladislava
Description:
The project aims to create practical tools for efficient care for post-war works of art in the public space with respect to their identification, registration, systematic rescue and care. These objects form one of the most endangered groups of cultural heritage. Works in the interiors are in more danger than exterior works, as they cease to exist within reconstructions and demolitions of pre-1989 architecture, disappearing without closer identification and documentation. The main applied objective of the research is to create a new layer of the professional interactive map, Statues and Towns 2: Interiors containing information verified in contemporary written sources that will offer an overview of a selection of works.
