The project focuses on the approaches, methods and materials used for the restoration of polychrome sculptures in the Czech environment in the period after 1970 to 1990. The main aim of the research is to collect data from archives ? historical restoration documentations and to carry out a partial evaluation of these. The project will also include the preparation of a comparative series of samples for a laboratory experiment, which will serve to verify the obtained information about the selected historical materials. An important question is to what extent the approach to the restoration of these works resembled or differed from contemporary practice in the European area.
