Provider: Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy
Programme: Rakousko - AKTION
Implementation period: 01.01.25 - 31.12.25
Workplace:
Fakulta restaurování - Oddělení projektů FR
Investigator: Míchalová Zdeňka
Description:
The project focuses on early Baroque grottoes - artificial caves, which are remarkable from a cultural and historical point of view as an Italian import to the territory of Central Europe and, with regard to their artistic design and material composition, represent a complicated problem in terms of restoration and long-term care of cultural heritage. The research is therefore interdisciplinary and follows the grottoes as a complex topic. The project will be addressed through workshops that will take place directly in the spaces under investigation. During the three workshops, restoration methods in Austria and the Czech Republic will be discussed with invited experts and the visited monuments will be documented for further follow-up research.
