Description:
In 2023, a late Baroque ensemble of stage scenes depicting the legend of St. John of Nepomuk was discovered in the collections of ÚPS Sychrov. This unique set provides significant opportunities for advanced historical and art-historical classification, conservation research, and model restoration. The core objective of the project is to conduct interdisciplinary research on this ensemble and to restore selected figures within the framework of bachelor’s and master’s theses. The collection, which includes figures representing a clerical procession and scenes from the legend of St. John of Nepomuk, will undergo comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis, building upon the IGS 2024 project. Furthermore, the outcomes of this research will contribute to an upcoming doctoral dissertation, and selected findings will be published in a Czech peer-reviewed journal.
