The project focuses on the development of photocatalytic lime-based coating systems designed for the protection of limestone sculptures. The combination of traditional lime binder and photocatalytic properties ensures material compatibility with historic substrates while increasing resistance to microbiological colonization. The main outcome will be innovative photocatalytic lime systems with strong potential for application on the European market in the field of cultural heritage conservation.
