eng Archival and restoration view on the origin and current state of epoxy facimiles from Kuks The article deals with the project of replacing the sandstone sculptures of Virtues and Vices by Matyáš Bernard Braun from the Hospital in Kuks with facsimiles with epoxy binder, which is seen from an unusual perspective. Retrospectively and from the point of view of the restorer, the article attempts to reconstruct the circumstances of their creation, mapping the procedures and materials used, which are questionable in many respects from today's perspective. It confronts the knowledge gained with an assessment of the current state of affairs, which is not positive in terms of the lifetime of the facsimiles.
