eng	Blind-printed decoration of book bindings	The article deals with blind-print, one of the oldest and most common techniques used in decorations of leather book bindings. It provides the reader with a comprehensive introduction into the given art, and focuses on the actual essence of the blind tooling decoration, the procedure, chemical and technological aspects and factors influencing the final result, and the possibilities of the detection of the date of production. Several lines of the text also concentrate on the technique of gilding which is very much interrelated with blind tooling.
