The Faculty of Restoration at the University of Pardubice held an international conference in Litomyšl called "What Next?", which dealt with the lifelong education of professionals who help preserve tangible cultural heritage.

The conference brought together experts and students from Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Main point was the publication of an analysis that addressed the needs for lifelong learning for conservationists in three European countries.

Opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Restoration Radomír Slovik, the conference was addressed by Pavel Panoch as the Vice-Rector of the University of Pardubice, Jana Michalčáková as the Deputy of the National Heritage Institute in the Czech Republic, Pavol Ižvolt as the Director of the Heritage Office of the Slovak Republic, and Christian Hanus and Manfred Sonnleithner representing the Austrian University for Continuing Education Krems.

The international conference was organised by the Faculty of Restoration at the University of Pardubice, together with the National Heritage Institute and the PROPAMÁTKY professional journal. The event took place within the framework of the International Cooperation for Professional Training in Heritage Conservation, which is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
