During the first four years of their studies, students acquire knowledge and skills in the history of Czech and European art, the history of book culture, iconography and the basics of the theory and history of heritage preservation. One of the most important parts of the curriculum are seminars and proseminars on art history and documentation, which serve as a basis for scientific work with archival sources and specialized literature. In the master's degree, the "common base" is followed by field-specific lectures.
