Third-year students work under the guidance of teachers on the restoration of works of arts and crafts made of stone, stucco, plaster and related materials. They are involved in the entire restoration process from preparation, transfer, restoration research and determination of the restoration concept, to the actual restoration intervention. As part of the restoration preparation, students are introduced to conducting a range of analyses and testing of technologies and materials to select the appropriate course of action. They work closely with the Chemical Technology Department and the Humanities Department of the School of Restoration in the restoration process. Students thoroughly document the progress of the work and produce a restoration report at the end of the restoration.
