In the case of studio teaching, the fourth year is largely devoted to the bachelor's thesis. Students work on a complex restoration intervention on a particular historical work, dealing with the condition of the work, secondary interventions, the history and iconography of the work, complex material research and the concept of
and the design of the implementation. They communicate over the issues not only with the supervisor of the work, but also with representatives of the client and conservation authorities, consultants and opponents. The completion of the bachelor's thesis is accompanied by the submission of detailed documentation of the restored work, enriched by partial research related directly to the work and its restoration. In the bachelor's thesis, students demonstrate that they are able to independently carry out the restoration intervention with all the necessary related formalities.
