Umělý mramor představuje specifickou uměleckořemeslnou techniku, která se na našem území široce rozšířila v průběhu 18. století a výrazně přispěla k vytváření mimořádně bohatě dekorovaných prostor v období baroka i později v průběhu 19. století. Název techniky je odvozen od jeho funkce; umělý mramor měl napodobovat strukturu, barevnost a kresbu mramoru a často i dalších hornin a nerostů. Materiálově jde o díla zhotovená ze sádrového těsta, ve hmotě probarveného, obvykle s přísadou. Cílem kurzu je seznámit účastníky se základy techniky, technologickými postupy a materiály, které se od baroka téměř nezměnily. V druhé části budou na konkrétních památkách účastníci seznámeni s problémy a poškozením, které památky z umělého mramoru poškozují. Poslední část kurzu se bude věnovat možnostem restaurování, které je vzhledem ke složení umělého mramoru velmi komplikované. Program kurzu je jednodenní a skládá z teoretické i praktické části, které jsou realizovány formou teoretických přednášek a praktických ukázek. Součástí kurzu je exkurze do piaristického kostela Nalezení sv. Stucco marble represents a specific artistic and craft technique that became widely spread in our country during the 18th century and significantly contributed to the creation of exceptionally richly decorated spaces in the Baroque period and later in the 19th century. The name of the technique is derived from its function; artificial marble was supposed to imitate the structure, color and pattern of marble and often other rocks and minerals. In terms of material, these are works made of gypsum paste, colored in the mass, usually with an additive. The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with the basics of the technique, technological processes and materials that have hardly changed since the Baroque. In the second part, participants will be introduced to the problems and damage that damage monuments made of artificial marble at specific monuments. The last part of the course will focus on restoration options, which is very complicated due to the composition of artificial marble. The course program is one day and consists of theoretical and practical parts, which are implemented in the form of theoretical lectures and practical demonstrations. The course includes an excursion to the Piarist Church of the Finding of the Holy Cross and a tour of the marble altars from the workshop of Martin Hennevogl.	building materials; stucco marble; properties; composition; degrdation; restoration
